Finnish planes evade Russian jets
Sweden and Denmark protest to Russia.
The foreign ministers of Sweden and Denmark are calling in the Russian ambassadors to Stockholm and Copenhagen over a reported near collision between a Russian military plane and a commercial passenger flight in midair, Alaska Dispatch News reports.
The Swedish and Danish governments say a Russian surveillance plane flew close to a Danish Scandinavian Airlines flight on Friday.
Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström says Sweden and Denmark’s governments are acting together to meet their countries’ Russian representatives. Wallström told reporters in Brussels: “Our protest will be very clear,” according to news agency TT.
