In the beautiful village of Þingeyri, West Fjords, population 252, there is a long line every Tuesday between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm, according to Iceland Review.
The reason: Landsbanki recently decided to close its operation in the village, except for one hour, one day a week. There is no ATM in Þingeyri.
The West Fjords news website bb.is reports that last Tuesday, 12 people stood in line ten minutes before opening time.
