On Friday 21 April the Norwegian government will launch its new High North Strategy in Bodø, Norway. Prime Minister Erna Solberg brings a top-heavy team of three ministers with her to Bodø when unveiling the long-awaited document, according to the program.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg brings Foreign Minister Børge Brende, Minister of Local Government and Modernisation Jan Tore Sanner as well as EU and EEA Minister Frank Bakke-Jensen along when presenting the government’s new High North Strategy in Bodø, according to the official program.

The Conservative Party holds its High North conference in Bodø later Friday, and all four ministers will be keynote speakers.

Northern Norway is experiencing growth, and the High North sees more extensive and higher paced job creation than areas further south. Recent research demonstrates that the growth in Norway's High North is stronger than that of Sweden and Finland. The Prime Minister will thus focus on Northern Norway as a driving force in Norwegian economy when talking about opportunities in the North, while Foreign Minister Brende will pay attention to the government’s strategy for how to handle cooperation with Norway’s neighbors in the Arctic and the High North.

Ministers Sanner and Bakke-Jensen will also address the conference.
