For the fourth consecutive year, Nordland County in Norway sees an increase in the number of young people who complete their secondary education.

Recent numbers from Statistics Norway show that there is an increased number of young people in Nordland County who complete their secondary education for the fourth consecutive year.

- This is excellent, says Tom Vidar Karlsen (Labor), Chairman of the Nordland County Education Committee. He points to several initiatives the County’s Executive of Education has taken in order to improve this number: - Our initiatives focus on following up pupils, helping them make the right choice when selecting what courses to take and adjusting education programs to the demands of business and industries.

- These figures prove that our initiatives are successful, however, there is still some way to go, Tom Vidar Karlsen says.
