Greenlands Self Rule Authorities fear loosing the right to custom-free fish export to Great Britain following Brexit.
Greenland’s Minister with responsibility for foreign affairs, Vivian Motzfeldt, is actively working towards both the EU and Great Britain to secure Greenland’s interest following Britain’s exit from the European Union.
Greenland’s online daily sermitsiaq.gl reports this.
Motzfeldt is hoping for a visit from Jean-Claude Juncker, the EU Commission’s Chairman, during this summer. She is also planning to travel to Brussels herself in order to promote Greenland’s interests.
According to Vivian Motzfeldt, the most important thing is to secure Greenland’s custom-free fish products export to Britain.
