Nowhere in the world did the general public donate as much to UNICEF last year, as in Iceland. On average, Icelanders donated $12 each to the UNICEF Children's Fund last year, followed by Sweden with $9 and Luxembourgh with $7. These figures only account for the donations of private individuals and entities, Iceland Review reports.
The number of Global Parents in Iceland then increased by 18,5 percent, and they are now 26,152. This was announced at UNICEF Iceland's annual meeting last week.
