The Arctic and China exemplify the shift of gravity in international politics: the Arctic is becoming an important geopolitical region due to its resources and strategic value, while China is one of the most important rising powers in the Pacific. In the latter, China’s accumulation of significant military power challenges the interest of the local powers and of the United States, The Newshub.com reports:
