High Prices at Tourist Spots in Iceland Criticized

High prices have a negative impact on both foreign tourists and on Icelanders who wish to travel domestically.

Very high prices at tourist destinations around Iceland are having a negative impact on the industry, experts warn, according to Iceland Review.

“Tourists often don’t understand how Icelanders can live in this country. They speak about the price of food and at restaurants compared to the average salary here,” said board member of the Iceland Tourist Guide Association, Kári Jónasson. Kári has recently been studying prices at tourist spots in Iceland.
