The Arctic Business Conference was originally planned in May, but was cancelled due to a low number of registrated participants.

Arctic Business was launched in 2014 on initiative from the Norwegian shipowners association, and the first conference was held in Bodø in October 2014. The original plan was a biannual conference in Bodø, and a Arctic Business Council, which would meet annually.

The Councils next and third summit is now planned during the Arctic Frontiers Conference in Tromsø, January 24. 2017. The need for the business communitys continued involvement in Arctic matters will be both front and center at the councils assembly with senior executives from diverse industries.

Among the many questions to be answered is how business leaders should and could contribute to the Arctic debate. What are the challenges, and what are the plausible ways forward?

The Arctic Frontiers Conference will take place from January 22.-27. 2017, and the topic is "White space -blue future".
