For the debate series High Noon, various voices from art and culture, research, journalism and other parts of social life are invited to reflect on the times we live in up north.

High Noon is led by journalist and editor-in-chief of High North News, Arne O. Holm. Over a long period of time, Holm has traveled around in a motorhome in the northern regions to seek out places and people that are not usually covered by the media.

HIGH NOON is a continuation of this work, and this summer Holm and the camper returned to The True Northern Festival in Harstad, Northern Norway, to again welcome the debate.

Each day, the starting point is a main guest who, with his artistry, opens up a larger debate about our society. Four debates are organized in Prandium at UiT Norway´s Arctic University, where the Northern identity and values are put under the microscope.

High Noon is organized in collaboration with The True Northern Festival, High North News, and UiT.

The event is streamed in collaboration with Harstad Tidende. High Noon is free to watch and attend.

"Living in the shadow of the war" is supported by the Barents Secretariat.

Collaboration partner: Fritt Ord.
