Continued Discussion of Arctic Ambassador Post in Greenland
After the National Assembly in Nuuk in June, a disagreement was revealed between Denmark and Greenland on the appointment of the Arctic Ambassador.
That is reported by the newspaper Sermitsiaq.
Múte B. Egede, the President of the Greenlandic government, Naalakkersuisut, is adamant that the Arctic Ambassador must have roots in Greenland. "Greenland is the Arctic part of the kingdom, and the area should, therefore, be taken care of by us," he says.
Documents from the National Assembly stated that the dialogue would continue to find a solution together or separately.
