US and Greenland Issue Joint Statement After Meeting in Nuuk
A meeting of the Greenland-American Joint Committee was organized on December 8th.
The US and Greenlandic governments, with the participation of the Danish government, met in Nuuk, Greenland, on Monday for the annual meeting of the Joint Committee.
The committee was established in 2004 and aims to support the ongoing dialogue between the governments of the US and Greenland.
After this year's meeting, the committee has issued a joint statement, in which they emphasize, among other things, that the countries will continue to strengthen their ties to ensure a secure and prosperous Arctic region.
This is reported by the Greenlandic government, Naalakkersuisut.
