Upernavik Photo Wins National Geographic Travel Photo Contest

Chinese photographer Weimin Chu won the grand prize of the National Geographic 2019 Travel Photo Contest with a picture from Upernavik, Greenland.

Chu visited the island in March 2019 and took the photo during his extended stay. The picture shows a family of three walking snow-covered streets in Upernavik amongst colorful houses in a landscape all covered in snow while the temperature was some -30^oC.
