Unemployment Down in Iceland

Unemployment in Iceland was measured at 2.6% in July, according to the latest labour market survey of Statistics Iceland, reports RUV. 6,200 people were unemployed. The figures are seasonally adjusted.

Unemployment decreased by 0.3 percentage points month-on-month, while the employment rate increased by 1.3 percentage points. Looking at the month of July compared with last year, unemployment has decreased by a full percentage point.
