Tron Strand Appointed Major General and Commander of CAOC in Bodø
Brigadier Tron Strand was appointed as Major General and Commander of the Combined Air Operations Centre on September 12th.
This was announced by the Ministry of Defence in a press release today.
On October 1st, 2025, the Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC) will be established at the Norwegian Armed Forces base in Bodø. Today, Tron Strand was appointed by the Støre Cabinet as Major General and Commander of the new air operations centre.
Strand has served as Commander of the Joint Air Operation Centre (JAOC) since January 2024.
Strand will assume the position from the date determined by the Ministry of Defence.
