Thomas Wærner Won the Finnmark Race
Thomas Wærner arrived at the finish line in Alta as a supreme winner of this year’s Finnmarksløpet, the Finnmark Race. His closest competitors were hours away.
Wærner has previously won the Femund Race, the Finnmark Race and the 2020 Iditarod in Alaska. In 2019, he made history as the first person in modern history to win both the Femund and the Finnmark Races in Norway. This year, he made history through repeating that achievement.
He had nine dogs with him across the finish line, after having started out with a 14-dog team.
