Svalbard Global Seed Vault Makes Global Top 10

The Project Management Institute (PMI) has announced that it ranks the Svalbard Global Seed Vault as one of the 50 most influential projects in the world during the past 50 years, according to a press release from the Norwegian Ministry of Farming and Food.

The list mentions the seed vault along with Apollo11, Boeing 747 and the Human Genom project. The seed vault is listed as #10, whereas on the top of the list one finds the World Wide Web.

400 global leaders in project management have created the list based on more than 1,000 projects.
