Secret Tests on Greenlandic Sleddogs

Greenlandic authorities say there are examples of foreign scientists and organisations traveling to Greenland to conduct tests with sleddogs, according to Sermitsiaq. This takes place without the knowledge of Greenland’s authorities and beyond their control.

Greenlandic sleddogs are unique and have not been mixed with other breeds for a period of 2,000 years. This makes it a most interesting object for researchers.

A newly proposed law is to tighten the rules and is currently on hearing. The new law will establish a requirement about pre-approval from Greenlandic vet authorities before any tests are conducted.
