Sami Captain's Armband To Be Used for the First Time in Eliteserien

This Sunday, in "the battle of Northern Norway" between Tromsø idrettslag (TIL) and Bodø/Glimt, TIL captain Ruben Yttergård will be wearing an armband with Sami colors. It is the first time such an armband will be used in Eliteserien, Norway's primary football competition. This is reported by NRK. 

"We see that there is a lot of discrimination against the Sami in our society. It has to end, and we all have to do our part in ending it," says Tom Høgli, Public Relations Manager and former TIL player, to NRK.
