Reindeer Hunting Season in Iceland Ends
The traditional reindeer hunting season in Iceland is over this year. Attention was drawn to how far north animals were hunted, reports RUV. It seems that animals were slaughtered much further north than usual.
Poor weather often made it difficult for hunters this year, especially fog and rain. Hunters then found it difficult to locate the animals. The weather was however very good during the last days of the season, and the hunt was more successful.
Of the eight hundred animals that could be hunted, 769 have been killed, and seven were not caught.
