Protest to Be Held in Nuuk, Greenland

On Saturday, January 17th, a group of citizens in Nuuk has joined forces to organize a demonstration against the US' illegal and unacceptable plans to take over Greenland.'

This was revealed in a press release sent out today.

The demonstration is a peaceful protest that starts at Katerittarfik Amisut and ends at Kujallerpaat 1
(US Consulate in Nuuk).

The purpose of the demonstration is to send a clear, unified, and unambiguous message: Greenland’s
democracy, right to self-determination, and fundamental human rights must be respected, according to the press release.

“With this demonstration, we want to show that we are taking action, that we stand together, and that
we support our politicians, diplomats, and partners. We therefore also encourage fellow citizens in
other cities and settlements to organize demonstrations on the same day and show that our country
stands united,” says Kristian Johansen, who is among the organizers of the demonstration.

On the same day, demonstrations will be held in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, and Aalborg.
