Polar Seafood sells factories in Norway, builds on Greenland

Polar Seafood, Greenland’s largest privately owned fisheries company, sells to fish factories in Norway and builds a new one in Upernavik, Greenland, Sermitsiaq reports.

The factories in Norway are located in Berlevåg and Kjøllefjord, Finnmark County. The buyers are well-known actors in the Norwegian fish industry.

Polar Seafood expects the new factory on Greenland to be operative in the fall of 2019. The investment amounts to some DKK 40 million and the factory will work with flounders and crabs.
