Norwegian Launches New Direct Flight to Svalbard

Next summer, Svalbard will have a new route to Oslo after Norwegian closed its direct flight between Longyearbyen and Oslo in 2023. The route will be operated four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. 

The company currently flies from Svalbard to Oslo via Tromsø, and only SAS offers direct flights. A direct flight entails that the passengers who choose Norwegian don't need a layover in Tromsø, where they must leave the aircraft for passport control on the way to the Norwegian Arctic.
