Norway Proposes NOK 45 Million to Hospitals in Northern Norway
The Norwegian Government proposes to permanently increase allocations to the hospital in Kirkenes and the medical facility in Alta, Northern Norway, in next year's budget by NOK 20 and 25 million, writes NRK.
"Kirkenes Hospital is in a special position that makes us choose to strengthen our emergency preparedness. Therefore, the Government proposes a permanent allocation of NOK 20 million in addition to a permanent increase of NOK 15 million from the revised budget to Kirkenes Hospital, says Minister of Health and Care Services Ingvild Kjerkol.
– This is a priority that safeguards health services throughout Finnmark, says Geir Iversen, Member of Parliament for the Centre Party.
