Nordic Prime Minister Meeting Approaching

Monday on the 15th of August, Norwegian prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre will be hosting an informal Nordic prime minister meeting in extension of the Norwegian chairmanship in the Nordic Council of Ministers. This is reported by the Office of the Prime Minister in a press release. 

Finland's Sanna Marin, Sweden's Magdalena Andersson, Denmark's Mette Fredriksen, and Iceland's Katrin Jakobsdóttir will then be coming to Oslo.

The main theme of the meeting will be the developing of Nordic defence cooperation in connection with Finland and Sweden's probable entry into NATO, according to a press release from the Finnish government. Other central themes will be protection of the sea and green transition, including deepening cooperation in the area of sustainable and climate neutral energy solutions.

The Nordic prime ministers will also be having a meeting with Germany's chancellor Olaf Scholz on the same day.
