New Spokesperson for the Norwegian Joint Headquarters

Major Hanne Olafsen (49) from Bodø started her new job as spokesperson for the Norwegian Joint Headquarters (FOH) at Reitan outside Bodø on the 1st of August.

Olafsen comes from the position of senior communication advisor at FOH.

She takes over from Petty Officer Marius Vågenes Villanger, who will start in a new position in Brussels.

"There is a different landscape within communication now than it has been in the past. We have done a lot right before, but now we need to interact more closely across departments and nations. We do not only ensure the flow of information within our department and towards the media, but also to civil emergency agencies," she says in an interview with KOM24.

Olafsen is educated in communication technology at Nord University and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She has previously worked as a communications advisor and project manager for NATO at the military mission in Brussels.
