New Netflix Movie from Greenland

On 2 March, Netflix publishes a movie playing out in Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq. The film ‘Against the Ice’ is about a Danish expedition that set out to convince the USA that Greenland was not split into two parts.

The film involves a.o. Emmy nominated Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, who is married to a Greenlandic woman, Danish director Peter Flinth, as well as BAFTA nominated Joe Cole.

All the major landscape scenes as well as demanding sleddog scenes are filmed on location in Greenland, near Ilulissat, in March 2021. The rest is filmed on glacier location and elsewhere in Iceland, as this is a Danish-Icelandic production.

Netflix started showing the trailer for the film on Sunday 16 January.
