More People Are Moving From Greenland
High living costs and challenges related to social and health services entail that many are forced to move from Greenland to Denmark.

A new report from Statistics Greenland shows that the population can be expected to fall by around 20 percent by 2050.
The figures are due to fewer children being born, in addition to the emigration of people born in Greenland. The number of births in 2020 was 50,192, while calculations for 2025 estimate that 49,738 children will be born in Greenland in 2025. 957 people emigrated from Greenland in 2020, while it is estimated that 1,215 will do the same during 2025.
