Millions to Narvik Battle Film

A planned film about the WW2 battle for Narvik receives NOK 15 million in support from the Norwegian Film Institute.

- This is wonderful news and brings us closer to the goal about telling an important part of Norwegian war history that has hitherto been unknown to many, says County Councilor Tomas Norvoll (Labor).

Nordisk Film and its Managing Director Tom Vidar Karlsen of the Bodø-based production company Storyline Nor are behind the planned film and TV drama.

Nordland County Council has previously allocated NOK 1 million to the film project, according to a County Council press release.
