Massive EU Funding for Cleaner Arctic Ocean

The EU is allocating billions up until 2030 in order to reach the goal of healthier world oceans with reduced climate gas emissions and waste.

A large part of its initiative will be conducted in the North Sea and the Arctic Ocean, according to the Norwegian government.

The EU is allocating some € 2 billion to various projects up until 2030 through Horizon Europe.

The ocean initiative is one of the EU’s five prioritized societal assignments and shall contribute to solving major European challenges up until 2030.
