Keskitalo Does Not Seek Re-Election

Norwegian Sami Parliament President Aili Keskitalo (NSR) will not seek re-election, according to NRK.

Keskitalo has held the post of President of the Norwegian Sami Parliament, Sametinget, for a total of four periods since 2005, when she became the first woman ever to assume this post.

Her replacement as NSR candidate for the position will be elected in October, whereas the next elections for the Sami Parliament will take place in the autumn of 2021.
