Hurtigruten ready to invest in Greenland following airport decision

Hurtigruten is preparing to invest around 250 million Danish kroner (DKK) in building hotels and developing the tourist industry in Greenland following yesterday's airport decision, says Hurtigruten's CEO Thomas Westergaard.

Plans include hotels in Nuuk and Ilullisat.

- We plan to build the hotels and establishing further projects simulaneously with the airports being built, Westergaard says to Sermitsiaq.
