Greenland to Open Representation Office in China

Greeland’s self-rule government decided at a meeting earlier this month to propose to the Grenlandic parliament, the Inatsisartut, that Greenland open a representation office in China, Sermitsiaq reports.

Greenland already has representation offices in Brussels, Washington D.C. and Reykjavik. And this spring, the Inatsisartut is to decide on whether or not to open one in China too.

A potential representation in China is to promote trade, political and cultural connections with China, and also to nearby countries to which Greenland exports products, such as Japan and South Korea.
