Greenland One Step Closer to Beijing Representation

The Naalakkersuisut, Greenland’s self-rule government, wants to establish a representation office in Beijing. The parties of the Inatsisartut (parliament) recently chose to accept the proposal and submitted it to a second round of processing, according to Sermitsiaq.

The second round of processing will lead to a final decision, presumably an adoption of the proposal.

The Naalakkersuisut wants to establish the office in 2021 and has allocated DKK 1.8 billion for that purpose. The operational costs for the office are estimated at DKK 2.5 million annually for the following years.
