Greenland Enters into Cyber Security Agreement with Denmark
Greenland’s Foreign Minister Steen Lynge (D) has signed an agreement with Denmark about cyber security, according to KNR. The agreement links Greenland to the Center for Cyber Security at the Danish military intelligence services.
Greenland’s self-rule authorities’ IT administration was hit hard by a cyber attack in 2015 and last year, the same happened in Nunavut, Canada.
The agreement and cooperation with Denmark will also contribute to more secure communication lines for Greenland’s politicians when interacting with each other as well as foreign colleagues.
