Greenland Educates New Psychotherapists

25 newly educated psychotherapists in Greenland recently received their certificates in Nuuk. They are the first class of psychotherapists educated in Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq.

Out of the 28 people who started the education, 25 have completed it and another two are following the next class of therapists-to-be.

Educating certified psychotherapists is part of the Naalakkersuisut’s effort to improve conditions for children and families in Greenland. The program has been modul-based and students include teachers, social workers, nurses, a midwife and a doctor.
