Foreigners in Svalbard may Travel to the Mainland From 1 June

Foreigners stuck in Svalbard may travel to mainland Norway from 1 June without being quarantined on their way there or on return, according to the Norwegian government.

- As quarantine is no longer imposed on travelers going from the mainland to Svalbard, it is a natural next step to also allow those living in Svalbard to travel to the mainland, says Justice and Preparedness Minister Monica Mæland (Conservatives).

Visa requirements from non-EU/EEA citizens still applies as usual.
