Faroe Islands Corona-Free Again

The Faroe Islands have no registered cases of Corona for the first time since 3 July 2020, according to KNR. Just like Greenland, the islands are currently Corona-free.

There have been 658 cases of Corona on the islands since the outbreak of the pandemic, one of which has died.

The Premier of the Faroe Islands Bardur a Steig Nielsen says in a press releaset hat this is good news, and that the Faroe Islands have done many things right in its campaign against Corona.

Eight percent of its population has received its first shot of vaccine, and barely five percent have been fully vaccinated. In Greenland, 8.9 percent of the population over the age of 16 have received at least one shot of the vaccine.
