The EU Establishes Office in Nuuk, Greenland

The EU Commission will establish an office in Greenland as the Arctic region is of vital strategic importance for the Unon, according to Sermitsiaq.

The office is to strengthen cooperation between Greenland and the EU. The office will a.o. manage support for Greenland and try and strengthen partnership between the EU Commission and Greenland.

The new EU Arctic Strategy does not indicate a time for when the office is to be set up.
