Denmark Wants to Strengthen Greenland’s Police
The Danish government wants to create a new police unit in Greenland that is to work against child abuse, according to KNR.
This was announced in its draft long-term plan for the police.
The new unit is to be a dedicated unit within the Greenlandic police force and shall act as one coordinating center for cases related to sexual abuse of children. The Danish government also wants to strengthen and modernize the police in Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
The draft plan does not say anything about what amounts of funding may be required.
