Criticizes Lack of Open Boat Service Provider Tenders in Greenland

Business operators in Greenland criticize Naalakkersuisut, the self-rule government, for not announcing a public tender competition for boat service routes, according to Sermitsiaq.

The current contracts for boat services along defined routes expire by the end of the year, and there has been no announcement on who will operate these routes and how after 1 January 2021.

The Naalakkersuisut allegedly negotiates with Disko Line about a ten-year contract, which has not been publicly announced. Other companies and potential cooperation partnerships have thus not had the opportunity to participate in the competition for contracts.
