Bodø, Norway praised for ECoC2024 application

The city of Bodø, Norway has applied to be named European Capital of Culture 2024. In its assessment of the Bodø pre-qualification application, the EU’s jury writes that they find the application well-structured with clear ideas considering long-term effects, according to a press release from Bodø municipality.

The jury further emphasizes that the three program themes presented in the application offer a unique direction for the program development and that it has taken note of several interesting projects.

The decision on whether or not Bodø will become the European Capital of Culture 2024 is to be made in the fall of 2019.
