Bluejay Mining May NOT Look for Uranium in Greenland

On 18 March, Bluejay Mining received two mineral exploration permissions in southern Greenland, and the company claims on its home pages as well as in social media that it will search for “metals, gold and uranium”, according to Sermitsiaq. However, that is not quite accurate, according to the Danish Raw Materials Department.

Department Chief Jørgen Hammeken-Holm says to the paper that the company may explore metals and minerals, but not hydrocarbons or nuclear materials like uranium.

The Ministry notified the company as early as on 23 March about the information on the company website being misleading and now says it will have to reiterate this information to the company.
