The Arctic Winter Games Returned

The weeklong Arctic Winter Games 2023 brings thousands to Northern Alberta, Canada as it opened Sunday, reports CBC News.

I has been a 5-year hiatus for the games that are typically held every second year, but the pandemic put a stop to it.

The Arctic Winter Games brings together thousands of young athletes who, as well as coaches, games organizers and volunteers.

The Team N.W.T.'s chef de mission says Bill Othmer the highlight this year will be "just getting everyone back together."
