Several Arctic beaches have made Lonely Planet's list of the best beaches in Europe and the world. Lonely Planet's new book Best Beaches in the World showcases the most beautiful beaches from across the continents.

Iceland's Rauðasandur in Westfjords is ranked number 13 on the list of the world's best beaches.

Haukland Beach in Northern Norway is ranked the best beach in Europe.
