Approves of Land-Based Oil Project in Greenland

Greenland’s parliament Naalakkersuisut has approved the issuing of an exploration and operation license to Greenland Gas and Oil Ltd for a land area on Jameson Land in the eastern parts of Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq.

The area covers some 2,600 square kilometers.

GGO is a British-based company focusing on Greenland. Its goal is to develop the licensed area into a producing oil field.
