Record Number of Tourists in November

Norway placed third with 5.4 percent of the tourists to Iceland.

In November 61,000 tourists visited Iceland, 31 percent more tourists than in the same month last year and five times more tourists than 12 years ago, which is when the Icelandic Tourist Board first started counting visitors to Iceland arriving at Keflavík International Airport, Iceland Review reports.

One third of all tourists in November came from the U.K. and 79 percent from the top ten nations visiting Iceland. The U.S. came second with 16 percent and Norway placed third with 5.4 percent
