Norwegian MFA State Secretary to Murmansk

State Secretary Jens Frølich Holte of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will visit Murmansk on 13-14 November, the Ministry reports. The Secretary will a.o. meet the local governor an attend a conference called International Cooperation in the Arctic.

Key themes for the meeting with Governor Andrey Tschibis will be regional cooperation with Russia in the High North and the Barens cooperation, and the State Secretary will formally open the new, temporary facilities of the Norwegian Consulate-General in Murmansk.

Norway currently chairs the Barents Council and Frølich Holte will during the visit also meet with representatives for various Barents projects.
