More Oil and Gas Off the North Norwegian Coast

Equinor has found oil and gas in a test well off the coast of Sandnessjøen, Nordland county, according to petro.no. The test well lies some 14 kilometers southeast of the Norne field.

The well had two different reservoar samples, where gas was found in the top sample and oil in the lower one. Estimated volumes of the two in total is estimated at 3-60 million barrels of oil equivalents.

Equinor says one possibility will be to connect this deposit to the Norne ship.
