Greenland Educates Popular Tourist Guides

13 newly educated tour guides recently graduated from Campus Kujalleq in Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq, and they are already in demand.

The guide education program was established following a.o. a survey from Visit Greenland that clearly showed that tourists in Greenland would prefer being guided by a local. 77 percent of the students on the program graduated this time, a record-high number.

According to the school’s inspector Henrik Ebbe Nielsen, the education has been very well received by Greenland’s tourist industry and the demand for educated guides is far higher than the number of graduates.
